Lyon. Bel Ami

Although this place is not French cuisine (and we are still in the phase of finding those), I need to mention this exceptional and charming tapas restaurant/bar Bel Ami. My life changed the first time I looked inside their window: simple food for sharing that is not only exceptional but also sublime. Hummus, sausages, octopus, and seasonal goods are so perfectly simple that you wish for nothing but that. And with their local wine selection, it is a dream come true. Yet do not expect a restaurant where you will be treated like expensive china. No. This is a laid-back, yet perfectly executed place where you step into a world of peace, love for life, and enjoyment with no clocks ticking. Perfect.
