Countryside lunch

There is one thing I cherish more than anything else – friendship. Not just any friendship, but one that is honest and true, where you can cry and laugh, and it is ok. Only in that kind of friendship can you have the best meals. Only that friendship is something that deserves my (and others’) long hours of thinking, cooking and caring for those who will enjoy the meal. And to be honest, only then does it come truly easy and always beautifully, with just one secret ingredient – creativity and simplicity.

Creativity and simplicity is one of the things I admire in every H&M home collection. Honestly, when I go into the shop pretending that nothing interests me, deep inside I just want to buy everything – all the small things that at the end make the whole table perfectly “Pinteresting” (no, I do not make dinners with friends to have Pinterest pictures but I do like to pay attention to every detail and show my respect to people that come). That is my way of saying I love you and I cherish you.

The same story (my hard “I don't care face” on, but with me screaming inside “Oh, I just want everything from this”) happened when I saw the new H&M Home fall collection with all the truly stunning fall colors – where the reddish-orange meets forest blue, where the Swedish beige and grey plays with light light yellow, where golden edges are “wrapped” around grey glass, and where wood meets steel.

I am truly happy that H&M Home has been working on something more – a new tableware collection, which means they are going to have more and more serving plates: from small to big ones, from morning to soup bowls. Needless to say, in the same colors as the other table accessory collection, giving us more ways to match the table set perfectly. And by perfectly, I do not mean that it has to be one color and boring. No. It has to be creative by putting wood chips in a vase, flowers into a carafe, and serving food on trays not bowls.

I Hope you enjoy this as much as I did – enjoy every step of getting ready for this sunny lunch with friends in the countryside.
