Simple oven prawns

Simple oven prawns

I love this recipe — the melting butter with oil sizzling in the oven with garlic getting golden brown. Then in go the prawns and rosemary to be enjoyed 8 minutes later. The smell of rosemary and garlic fills the house as I put fresh baguette on the table – something one must have when eating this dish. It is our favorite way to eat prawns. Maybe because it was the first “expensive” dish we cooked together with Armands or perhaps because of the simplicity in cooking and taste. Still a rare dish that we enjoy very much and appreciate every bit of the taste.

20 g butter
20 ml mild olive oil
28 prawns (7 for each person)
1 tsp chopped rosemary
2 garlic cloves, grated or finely chopped
Sel Guerande or Maldon salt to taste
freshly ground pepper to taste

Heat the oven to 200°. Take a ceramic pan and add butter and oil. Put it in the oven for 7 minutes until it starts to bubble. Add prawns, rosemary, and garlic. Mix, and put back into the oven for another 10 minutes. Take out, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and mix. Serve. Sometimes I like to sprinkle on some chili too, but it depends on the mood.
