Chalets Lynx Mountains

All ecologically built and fabulous, the Chalets Lynx Mountain waited for us up in the mountains of Jura in Foncine le Haut. Opened at the beginning of this year, these modern Scandinavian design-inspired chalets are true gems that, even before departing, made us make plans of returning with the snow season (January/February) there, as the house not only enchanted us with its warmth and stunning views but also with the location being close to so many breathtaking hikes, waterfalls, lakes and cross-country skiing tracks. 

There are two of them there. One smaller. Perfect for a family. And the other bigger - for an extended family. Equipped with all one needs from sleeping, washing, cooking and relaxing, it not only lets you sleep in bed but also in the hammock that everyone loves, read a book in the window seal and bubble in the jacuzzi while admiring the valley just in front, so that later you can enjoy the dinner made from cheese bought at the Fromagerie Robert Janain, local meat at the Relais du Fume, and stunning chocolates at the Tibochoc (all from Champagnole).

However, no matter how tempting it might be to spend time inside admiring nature from the other side of those giant windows, one must go outside and enjoy the hiking trails all around the property.
