It is a very closed world. But it's closed only when you are not there. Once you arrive at the right place and at the right time, the gate is open for your enjoyment, and one of those magical places is La Maison de Pommard.

Located in Pommard, this small hotel, hiding just five rooms, is so unnoticeable from the outside that one could take two times to find it, but the moment you enter, the world changes, and you remember this place - I believe for life.
Maison Pommard is quite a new place, yet it feels like it has been there forever, and there's a reason for that: the house has been renovated with the most outstanding care, starting from preserving the walls to filling the interior with antiques and rarities. Everything here is different, no room repeats, and no details are by accident. It's just perfection from the first to the last detail. The large living room makes yo feel like you've been invited for a holiday to someone's house. The kitchen is the focal point for meetings and rare wine tastings. The garden is everyone’s favorite. Hiding not only a sauna and a swimming pool, at also has an extraordinary herb garden whose treasures travel to the kitchen for making tea, salads, and meats – all served here.
And then you get to your room located upstairs. The rooms are magnificent, detailed, romantic, charming, and unique in every little way. There's nothing to add and nothing to take away. It's so good that you don't want to leave, although the region calls to you. This dilemma takes a lot of effort to handle. Some like to stay there, some conquer the yard with a bottle of wine and a board game, and some go further afar, but everyone wants to return, and that's a crucial thing when traveling - the desire to return to where you're staying (that does not always happen).
Yes, Burgundy is a destination for fine wine and food lovers, but not only. That is a bonus, but not an obligation when coming here, especially to La Maison de Pommard where Burgundy is so different and special that as you leave, you count the days until your return. And yes, their wine menu is very rare and special, and it’s wise to use that.
