Atelier September

Fredrik Bille Brahe is well known in the Copenhagen food scene. Armed with all the experience you need to open a fine and expensive restaurant, he opened a place where he cooks for friends just like at home.

AS is located in a former antique shop, a beautiful place, with the flavour of the history of the space well preserved. Everything is so simple here. Just like at home or visiting a friend, feeling at ease. No unnecessary pomp, every detail carefully thought out (and so many things brought back from travels). This place holds plenty of gems, and one of them is the food. Simple and sincere. Faultless and astonishing. Homemade sourdough bread is served with thin, large, and I would go as far as saying sexy slices of Comté cheese and exceptional butter or a soft boiled egg. Rye bread is generously heaped with soft ripe avocado, citrus oil and herbs. The Danish classic – skyr yoghurt – is served with the famous syrup-pickled zucchini, homemade granola and a dash of matcha powder. Locals flock here for lunch – to have a shakshuka, buffalo mozzarella salad or something seasonal. Geranium lemonade, matcha cappuccino, outstanding coffee – expect to find all this at. Atelier September, and no trip to Copenhagen is complete without a meal at this place. Don't forget to visit their sister place Apollo Bar
