Hungary. One step away from Budapest - Etyeki Kuria
Planning a trip to Hungary without visiting the Etyeki Kuria winery is a crime. Even if you have no time or desire to drive around the country for a few days (you should though), you have to come here. Located in the heart of Etyek-Budai, just a 30-minute drive from Budapest, it is one of the most popular destinations when you have no time to drive around the country but are still looking for exceptional wines, great architecture, and local food.
It is not a century-old winery standing proudly. Established in 1996 at Etyek Old-Hill with just two hectares of vineyards, it is now a proud winery of almost 13 years, fop-ten fantastic wines, and beautiful modern winery that is an artwork in itself. Today, after hard work, there are 27 hectares of grapes and the first Pinot Noir beauties grown in this region.
Remembering the wine tasting just outside the building, it was a challenge to understand where to point the camera – to the exterior of the house, the interior, or just at the wine. It is a beautifully balanced environment, the same as their wines starting from white and crispy Zenit and amazing, small-production orange wine (must for orange wine connoisseurs) to elegant and delicate pinots and Kekfrankos wines. So, no matter how packed your plans are, this is a place to spend more time slowly sipping wine while listening about the winery and soaking up the beauty around you.
