Del Popolo Pizza
Del Popolo Pizza was a great choice to start the trip – simple, easy, loud, and tasty. Pizzas came straight of the oven as if the whole city was standing outside the door with orders. Homemade olives with a glass of local beer and rosédisappeared faster than expected, but that was the only thing that kept us busy and not letting us fall asleep. It was when the pizza arrived that we finally felt that we were here, in San Francisco. The slices of potato, taleggio, and homemade sausage pizza melted in our mouths when the Margharita arrived, followed by their stunning soft-serve ice cream and sorbet. We finished and tried to leave when a waiter ran after Armands to remind him that a 5% tip left is not nearly enough, even though he was not the most attentive waiter in the world.
