La Boulangerie Pralus

La Boulangerie Pralus

Many locals and visitors know about the famous Pralus bread filled with red praline almonds, one of the most significant foods to try while in Lyon. Yet, only a few know that not long ago, the same brand opened a very different Boulangerie Pralus which does not resemble the famous red shop that one can visit in a few places in Lyon. This one is very different, closer to what we know as boulangerie traditionnelle, offering bread and viennoiseries. The variety is not large, especially on the side of viennoiseries, offering just croissants, pain au chocolate, and two escargot types, yet they are so gorgeous, making it hard to decide whether to buy one of them or one of their incredible breads or even sandwiches. A new addition to Lyon that seemed suspicious at first (to me), but turned out to be one of those spots where I would walk 25 minutes to get my pain au chocolate or croissant, being able to eat it another 25 minutes later at home.
