Minnà Pâtisserie

Minnà Pâtisserie

I remember ordering their pear Charlotte for Armand’s birthday, not knowing how it would turn out (although that was not the first time I had pastries from them). The evening came, and I cut the cake, having my first bite moments later. It was perfect. The presence of pear was so obvious, yet there was not too much sweetness, and together with biscuits and cream, the cake was sublime.

It was after I had tried their Saint-Honoré (one of the rare places in Lyon), vanilla flan, and many other cakes that I loved all. And biscuits, too. Now I know that Minnà Pâtisserie never lets down. With a pastry chef from South America, the thing is that although she does make French classics, there are always some surprises and notes from her culture, which makes the trip to this pâtisserie even more interesting, because you never know what waits ahead. Because there are things that are not French at all, showing a part of her culture (like their little cheese chipitas).

Located in the heart of the city, this place almost never closes (like most of the places do during Christmas and New Year’s and in August), so whenever you are in the city during this time, and the rest of the year, too, looking for some nice pastries and viennoiseries, Minnà is the place.
