Único Maître Artisan Glacier

It was the summer of 2022 when, in that mild summer heat, we stood in a queue at the Único Glacier to get what everyone called the best ice cream in the city. I did not know then that this was a trustworthy statement, yet ten minutes later, it turned out to be true (at least it is one of the top ones). Even knowing that I had no desire for ice cream, some ten minutes later we parted Único with ice cream for each of us. If there is one thing I do not want to and cannot resist, it is the ice cream cookie sandwich. I still remember how we were sitting at Place Sathonay and eating the ice cream, while music was playing there and people were playing pétanque and talking. So, I did have my doubts about the authenticity of my emotions towards that ice cream. Because, it might have been that moment that made it so special. But as it turned out, it was not.

Único Glacier is something exemplary. The base of each ice cream and sorbet is made from locally and ethically sourced ingredients, while flavours depend on the season (the exciting part). Although you know that you will get the classics like vanilla, milk, chocolate, and some nut ice creams, the rest is up to the local growers and season. In addition to the ice cream, do not forget to try their Eskimos, sandwiches, and wonderful ice cream cakes.
