Marble cake or cake marbré

You enter almost any boulangerie or patisserie, and there it is - cake marbré or marble cake. The same applies to nearly every kids' party (at least the ones I had with my French friends way back). A mystery for someone who has never made it (in a sense of those different colours there), but such an easy recipe for everyone who has done it at least once.
