Because in food I trust. In all forms and shapes.

Arcachon

Arcachon

I went there once a few years ago. We sat there by the sea and ate “fruit from the sea” (all alive). But it never “took” me until I saw the movie White Lies about a holiday in Arcachon – about oysters, boats and all that belongs to it. So, I went there this time and it just “took” me. Or, I should say that not only Arcachon took me but the small villages by the sea, especially Gujan-Mestras where we sat and ate oysters. I ate two to be precise, as that is not my thing, but there it was. At least a bit.

For a fantastic oyster and shrimp plate, go to Gujan Mestras oyster bar La Baraque à Huîtres (117 Espl. des Ostreiculteurs).
